XP service pack 3 Install problem

Even when I download and try to install the full file version of SP3, I get
prompted to find an Outlook 2002 file called OUTRET.MSI (I even have my
original disks, but when I tried to use them, it said it couldn't find the
file, so I resorted to Plan B and went with the full file install that
supposedly bypasses the need for a disk).

So what do I do now? I'm having problems coverting a PPT file to a PDF, and
according to the error reporting gods, it's because I need to install SP3 . .

Hi A.M.,

OutRet.msi would be for a standalone copy of MS Office Outlook.

Do you have Outlook installed via the Microsoft Office Listing in Add/Remove Programs? Is there a separate Microsoft Office Outlook
listing in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control panel?

Bob, MS Outlook 2002 is indeed listed as a separate item in the Add/Remove
programs window. I assume it came with the rest of my Office XP Small
Business "stuff".

So what do I do now? I don't even use Outlook -- I use Outlook Express, so
if uninstalling Outlook is the solution, I guess I could do that. But it
still leaves me wondering how Outlook 2002 got there in the first place if it
isn't on the Office XP for Small Business 2002 disk that I still have . . .
