XP Slowdown after installing Office 2003

Since I have installed Office 2003 on Win XP Home my context menus in
windows (explorer, ie, anywhere) are very slow can take upto 1/2 a minute to
appear and when i boot up and get into windows my ADSL net connection icon
can take up to one minute to appear in the system tray and it takes about
2minutes for Norton Firewall to load up. Before installing office 2003 every
thing was instant.

I did a reinstall format etc of WinXP and done all updates for all software
and still the same.

System
3gig cpu
1gig ram (400mhz)
m/b 800mhz FSB
160gig h/d 8meg onboard cache
128meg GeForce4 Ti4200 Video Card

Anyone got any ideas? I assumeing Office 2003 has done something to cause
this.
