XP SP3 how do I instal?

I keep getting error 0x8004210A in Outlook.
The Microsoft site said this is cured by downloading Office XP SP3. This I
did to my desktop, but on double clicking it I now get
'......OfficeXPSP3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe is not a valid WIN32
application' so cannot instal it. Any ideas please.

Are you on any non-standard hardware? Maybe a 64 bit machine? Also, have
you tried getting this update straight from Office Update.

Yes, I am on a 64 bit machine, and I did get the update from the site you
listed.
