XP Step Up Opportunity

I sent in my check for the Step Up for the
Student/Teacher edition back on 9/24/03, along with the
required documents, including the front page of my
manual. I haven't heard a word yet and, checking my
checking account statements, the check has not yet
cleared.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can proceed,
since the Customer Service avenues are either fee for
service or are asking me what my techincal difficulty is?

The deadline for this Step Up is 12/31/03, so I'm running
out of time.

The 31Dec2003 deadline is for the postmark on
submitting the technology guarantee application.
If your September check has cleared then you've
beat the deadlines


I'm assuming you purchased Office XP Student and
Teacher's Edition and you used the technology
guarantee to get the Office 2003 Student and Teacher's
Edition? Can you clarify please? The Step-up
(get a 'higher version' of an Office 2003 suite
for a reduced price if purchased between 15Aug & 30Nov
does not apply to Office XP Student & Teacher's Edition,
but the Technology Guarantee does.

Thanks for replying, Bob.

You're right--it was the technology guarantee I'm using.

Unfortunately, the check has not yet cleared. Would you
have any suggestions as to how I could

1. Contact Microsoft about this without having to go
through their "pay to play" customer service or
2. Resubmit even though I'm missing the front page I
originally submitted (this is the way I'm leaning--I'll
just write them another check and ask if they would
accept a different page from the manual)
