XP Toolbar Icons Bad

When I put icons for Notepad, Calculator, IE and Windows
Explorer on my Office XP toolbar, they are horrible.
They're barely readable. Other icons such as Word and
Excel are fine. I just upgraded to XP from Win 2000, and
they were fine there. Any ideas?
