I've been having a terrible time with Microsoft Equation
3.0 and now Mathtype 5.0 (downloaded trial) as well. When
I won't get all the details right but here goes. WhenI
try to edit previously existing equation objects I
get "object corrupt" and I can't open the object. Even
moments after creating a new equation, if I try to open
it up to edit it I get the same "object corrupt" message.
I've done all the Office XP upgrades and I downloaded the
Word2002 troubleshooting utility with its Macros for
various things. I did run the "normal.dot" reset macro
the day before I downloaded Mathtype and then after
installing Mathtype all worked fine with editing
equations that night and I was happy again. The next
night, however, "object corrupt" was what I was greeted
with when I went to edit a test. Can anyone help? I'm a
busy teacher and I don't have time for this. What good is
the new "better" software if my old Win98 and Office 2000
SW worked fine?
