Thank you for your efforts. I've had folks try your suggestion using the NA() substitute for "". The change solved one problem: empty cells in the data series were being plotted on the baseline (x-axis) of the chart and are not now. This is good. Zero is not defined on a log scale and should be treated as gaps in the data series. Now, however, all gaps are crossed by connecting lines. This is not correct. They should be left as gaps. If it is possible to send you a few screen shots, it will be easier to illustrate the problem.
