Does anyone know how to stop multiple Yen signs from appearing when
currencies are set to dollars in English Office running on Japanese Windows
(XP)?
If I set a cell that has numbers in it (not blank) to US dollars and then
close the file, Yen marks appear on either side of the number after the file
is reopened (so two Yen marks are now in the cell on either side of the
figure, and that goofy setting is added as a custom cell format). If I then
close and reopen the file, an additional set of Yen marks will appear beside
the first set of Yen marks (now there are four Yen marks in the cell and
another useless custom cell format). I've gone and removed all of the custom
cell formats that are created as a result of this bug/error (formats that
show multiple Yen signs on either side of numbers) but they keep on
reappearing. Is there a fix?
Thanks
