Yet another Office XP Small Business Question

Jim

Hello, my name is Jim and I am writing to you from the computer store where I
work. We have a computer in the shop that needs a complete reinstall Windows,
so we will need to reinstall his Office XP Small Business afterwards. Problem
is, he has the product key but not the CD. Is there anywhere to order just
the media? I've searched through Microsoft's site but couldn't find it
anywhere. After reading other posts here I understand that you cannot install
Office XP SBE on a computer other than the one it came with, so will I even
be able to reinstall it? I guess my second question is will the program
"remember" that this is the original computer it came with? I am not a
technician at the store if you couldn't tell by my ramblings, just the
purchasing guy. Any help would definitely me appreciated.

If it's an OEM version that came with the computer, you'll need a copy just
like the one supplied with it, which comes from the computer manufacturer.
OEM is tied to the original computer.

If it's a retail copy, you might be able to find that old version of Office
perhaps on Ebay...but that's not always a viable idea.
