YOu are not authorized to view this page: My Task

P

My users get intermittent errors "you are not authorized to view this page"
when attempting to get into the My Tasks view or once in it, trying to click
on task links to get all the details.

It doesn't happen all the time, but I need to stop it happening at all.

I've searched and not found anything specific to Project Server on this
issue.

Help! Thanks.

You can post it all over the place, but with the information you've
provided, I think all anyone could muster is a SWAG. I'm not sure what we'd
need to know to make an "educated" guess, but system information would be a
good place to start.

Gary, I guess part of my problem is where/what type of data am I looking for?
Something in the application logs? IIS logs? I really just don't know
where to look. I was hoping someone has experienced this before and could
point me in the right direction.

Meantime, I've notified users to contact me next time it occurs so I can try
and search for anything meaningful in the logs I know about.

PA, for what its worth, I see this occasionally and extremely randomly
as well. It almost always resolves itself by clicking the browser
"Back" button and retrying the link, but it certainly does not
engender warm fuzzy feelings of confidence in our users. Especially
when coupled with the legitimate design and functionality flaws still
present in post-SP1 MOPS.

If you can find some sort of pattern or cause to this annoyance, I
sure would be interested in hearing about it.

Minutes ago I tested a user's inability to get into the specific task data,
and I relaxed IE permissions as far as they would go. No effect.

I'll search the logs for some help.
