I have seen references to this before and am still stumped.
When trying to access Project Server from Project 2003 Pro I have some users
who get the "You are not authorized to view this page".
The users can access the website.
For testing purposes, I went to a machine that was having this problem and I
logged on as myself, creating a new Windows Profile. I was able to connect to
the server using Project 2003. My initial thought, his Windows Profile is
corrupt. I thin had him come to my machine, log on as himself, creating a new
profile. He still cannot access the server thru Project. There goes that
theory. His right are the same as mine on the Server.
I at one time had the same issue. The solution was to delete the Domain
Profile and recreate me. This fixed the problem. I also had to recreate my
desktop. Cannot remember if I had to also delete my profile on the machine at
the same time. To me, this seems like a drastic solution, especially f the
Win Profile has to be redone.
I would love to hear anyone's thought on this.
Thanks!
