You cannot connect to your LDAP server with the Microsoft LDAP API over an
SSL connection in Windows XP.

I have read the article located here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;835208

and downloaded the hotfix from Microsoft. When I tried to install the
hotfix, my computer recognizes that it is older than Service Pack 2 which is
already installed on my computer and refues to install it.

I thought SP2 contained the hotfix in the first place, which leaves me
totally confused about the problem, and of course, how to fix it.

Are there any work arounds for this problem?
