I have MS access 2000 installed on my PC and also saved on the Network, Since
1999 database was working fine, up until late last year I was unable to open
ANY access database from y PC. The other members of our office are able to
open same database saved on the network except ME.

Uninstalled MS office all together, reinstalled still same problem, I always
receive error "You can't assign a value to this object".

Download sample database from Microsoft THEY ALL give me same error.

I don’t believe its a design issue, because same database can be opened
other users, may be some to do with my installation or my PC.

Is anyone have any Idea.

Thank you

It could be a references problem. Go to the following web page for
information on checking references:

http://www.mvps.org/access/bugs/bugs0001.htm

If it is the install of Office that is the problem, it is very hard to
uninstall fully. There are some tools out on MS website that can help.

However I ususally find it easier to wipe the hard drive; reinstall Windows
and other basic programs (especially if you have a recovery disk); install
Office; then do updates.

Easier yet is a new computer if you are due on soon anyway.

Thanks Jerry,
This doesn't work for me. I cannot wipe my harddrive. I have a lot of data
from 1999 until now.

Anyone Else has any Idea?

Thank you,
