Hi Nuggs
I'm having exactly the same problem... but haven't found a solution yet.
I've tried reloading Office, have spoken to my providers tech support team
and have even been onto Microsoft support team (Level 2! - so this must be a
major issue).
The only clues they could give me is that it is possibly (they said
probably) an issue with my anti-virus not allowing the program to work.
I've tried removing and reloading it but to no avail.
Contact Microsoft in your area, they may have found something out in the
meantime. If I find a solution, I'll post it for you.
Good luck
Derek

Hi Nuggs, I'm not sure if your problem has been solved but mine has and this
is basically how it happened.

I followed all the steps listed in the solution offered to me (search my
name and you'll find a link from sreeni243) but the error didn't go away.
I went through my service provider (Bigpond in Australia) and their tech
help was stumped and put me onto Microsoft.
The first level tech people were stumped as well and this problem was
elevated to Level 2 and was give 89 days of free help.
This chap spent several hours with me uninstalling and reinstalling
everything from PC-cillin to Office to E-mail accounts to even resending me a
permissions reset link (a last resort) with no luck.
I called in a computer wizz who finally worked a permanent was around the
problem rather than removing it.
He set up a new User Profile and brought all my files across (which must
have left the permissions file behind) and it works. He claims he could have
fixed it but I have a working solution and I'm back in business.

Good luck with your problem.
Derek
