I'm having this issue someone else asked about a couple of months ago
(but there was no resolution posted). I'm new to Project Server (user
only; not administrator; no training or orientation provided -- just
told to use it), so I was fumbling through attempting to use it
intuitively (silly me!!) -- so here's the history behind my current
error situation:
Last week, when I clicked on the home page link for "Upcoming status
reports to submit" (due 3/24), I filled in Monday's info, and then
saved it. I went to update it Wednesday, and so I clicked on the home
page link to the "Upcoming status reports to submit" (due 3/24), and
got an empty status report! I thought PWA had lost all my info from
Monday, so I reported the problem to my boss, filled it in again, and
saved it. At that point I noticed the pop-up that says it was saved,
instructing me to go to the Archives link to edit an existing status.
I'm not going to rant and rave (too much) about stupid software that
can't match up dates and pull up the existing status report instead of
creating a new duplicate one every time (I've done enough of that
already to my boss), although I feel justified (who QA'd this software
anyway!?).
Anyway, when HIS boss came in to determine how I had "lost my status
info", I had already figured all this out, and showed him the
duplicates in the archive list (two archive entries for same date
range). So I deleted the incomplete duplicate and thought everything
was fine; I continued to update the status and submitted it Friday
3/24. Now today (three days later), I log on and my home page says I
have an overdue status report. I click on the overdue status link and
it shows me the archives, and no status report there shows overdue
(we've been doing this all of two weeks, so there's not a lot there,
and NONE showing overdue).
Sounds like a bug ... anyone know of a fix?
