You have 10 unread messages in your Inbox on XP Pro startup

Just loaded up office 2003 and now I have a notice on my startup where all
the users log on that says "you have 10 new messages in you inbox". Well I
don't have any unread messages in my inbox and I'd like to eliminate this
notification as I really don't care for it but I can't seem to be able to
find where to stop it!

Do you have a Hotmail or MSN mail account that you access through a MS
Passport linked to Windows? If so, you might be getting a readout from one
of those accounts, not your Outlook accounts.

No, I just loaded office 2003 and configured outlook today. I have not
accessed any other webmail service at all.

works here... all it is a text file you nedd to save - it have just a couple
of lines:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail]
"MessageExpiryDays"=dword:00000000

paste into notepad and save with the reg extension, then double click on the
file to run it.
