I have installed Project 2003 server on a Windows 2003 with SQL 2000 running
on a separate server. I get the following error when trying to log in PWA or
Project Pro:

You have entered an incorrect user name/password combination. (5002)

I have created users in project, selecting window authentication
(domain\user-name). I have also tried adding users using Project Server
authentication. I cannot log in using any user name (windows or project
authentication) other than the Administrator login created during project
server install for either PWA or Pro.

Other points:

- I have also tried adding AD groups to the groups in project. When
synchronizing I get a “Failure†message in the ‘Last Sync’ column of the
group.

- The correct AD users and groups have been added to Windows 2003.

Any ideas???

Check the following:

- Verify that your users all belong to the Team Members group.
- For the users that will connect via Project Pro, make sure that they
belong to the Project Managers group too.

If that do not solve your problem, then it might be an issue related to
security, with the MSProjectUser and MSProjectServerUser profiles.
