"You have not entered a valid Product Key".

I am trying to install Outlook 2003. I have Microsoft Office 97. When I pu
the disk in, it starts the installing process but then pops up the frase "
you have not entered a vaild Product key". I does not give me the option to
enter the key. I went and uninstalled outlook 97 but it still will not work.
Any ideals?

Obviously you also have Outlook 2003? Where did you get it from? When you
startup setup does it starts installing immidiately or does it prompt you
for the type of installation like Custom, Typical, Complete?

It starts installing immidiately then tells me "please wait while Windows
configures Microsoft Office Outlook 2003". Then the "You have not entered a
Valid Product Key" pops up.

Sounds like it is a prestaged CD then instead of the original. Did you get
it by your admin?

I purchased a 10 pk licensing from Microsoft for outlook 2003 only. I have
installed this on 3 computers. I have tried on the 4th and this is the one
giving me the problem. I installed on a 5th system to make sure the disk is
good and it worked. It has to be something with the 4th system.

Has Office been installed on that system before? It might be interfering.
See if there is already a key stored on the system. You can use this tool
for that;

Office 97 has been installed. I ran the program that you listed. It gave me a
key for Microsoft Windowa XP and a key for Microsoft Office 97. There was
nothing for Outlook 2003.

Run OFFCLN.EXE from the CD to clear old Office data. It's located here
