I am having a serious problem trying to use Word 2003.
When I cut, text, pictures, whatever, and then attempt to paste it into:
Word 2003, WordPad or NotePad, I only get a Red and Blue Symbol in the upper
right hand corner of the Document I am trying to paste onto. It could be a
new "blank" document or an existing document.
I do not know what caused the problem but trying to find out led me to a
Company called Zeon who's product was used on this Computer when it was
formerly used as aa POS Terminal. The Zeon Product that was on this Computer
was called DocuCom and it created and opened PDF Files used by the POS
Software.
All the POS Software has been removed from the Computer and I now have it,
the Computer in my home and use it for personal not business purposes. I
tried to remove all of the Zeon / DocuCom Software and with the exception of
one File, it appears to be gone.
In communicating with Zeon, they offer no help and only say the problem is
an "old. know Bug" and there is "no known solution".
YIKES!
I have asked Zeon if there was a way to remove their Software from the
Registry.
They say no.
I have asked Zeon if there would be any benefit to removing the one
remaining File I can find on the Computer.
They say no.
I do not know if the problem I am experiencing is in fact Zeon's problem or
something else.
I'd ask for your feedback on this situation as Word has become almost
useless to me as well as Wordpad and NotePad.
When in Word 2003, in the top most line next to help is a Drop Down called
DocuComPDF and it does not appear to do anything that I can determine but
it's there.
Please consider what I am experiencing, do not fix on Zeon, DocuCom, or PDF
as I am reporting my experience that may not be related to the Symbol I am
getting instead of the "cut and paste" I need / want.
If I could I would attach what I see but I cannot, I just tried it.
Best regards,
Mike Lynch
