I'm using Office 97 SBE on my computer that I bought back
in 1997. Since then there has been numerous zip code
additions and changes by the postal service. Today I went
to change a zip code (in Tools>envelopes) to my local
Credit Union, and Office 97 said the zip code was
invalid. This error was noted right above the address
where the bar code is usually printed.
Does Office 97 have a database of zip codes and their
respective bar codes, and if you use a zip code that's not
on the list it gives you this error? Or, does Office 97
have to be updated. This seems to be counterproductive
trying to keep up with the zip codes/postal service.
What's my alternative? John
