Zip codes beginning with 0

I can't get zip codes beginning with 0 to merge into
word. If I format the cell as text it accepts the 0 but
it shows in word as only a 0 and omits the other numbers.
If I format the cell as a Zip it doesn't take the 0 as a
first number. HELP!

Here's an answer from Debra Dalgleish

"In Word, after you have inserted the Merge fields, press Alt+F9, to view
the field codes.

In the field code for the Zip Code, you can add a switch to format the
number. For example:
{ MERGEFIELD "Zip" \# "00000" }

Press Alt+F9 again to hide the field codes, then view the merged data."
