I am new to access and need to copy postcodes (uk) from
address fields into a consistent postcode field. The only
way I can think of doing this is if the entry in the
address field is in the format XXXX XXX,or XX XXX,or XXX
XXX

Is there a way to do this?

Is there a way to do this?

If the addresses are consistently in the correct format for UK addresses,
then the postcode should be the last address line that's got any data in it
(or the penultimate line if there's a country as well).

Also, a google search on "postcode regions" should get you lots of sites
that list all of the regions in the UK e.g. "LE" for Leicester. Any field
that begins with one of these, immediately followed by a number, is pretty
likely to be a postcode.
