Zoom into a slide, as a part of the slide show

I work for a construction company, working on a large jobsite. We have a
site plan, and during a presentation, I would like to be able to zoom into a
certain area, and then show a project update from that area. After the
update I would like to show the zoomed area and then zoom into a new area.

The zooms can be preset in the slideshow so that they are in a specific order.

Here is my 'flow' of how I would like it to work.
1. Slide A - whole site
2. Click - Zoom into Area 1
3. Click - show additional photos of Area 1
4. Click - Go back to Slide A
5. Click - Zoom into Area 2

And so on.

Is this possible?

I am currently running PP2002, but can upgrade to 2003 if needed.

Thank you.

What I do is to create small hidden rectangles/ovals (no fill and no line
colors) over certain portions of my picture that have Action Settings that
go to another slide. On that new slide have a "blow up" of the area and a
button that takes you back to the original slide. When in the Action
Settings dialog box if you make sure the "Highlight Click" checkbox at the
bottom left is checked, your cursor turns into a hand pointer while in slide
show over an action site (good idea, especially if you have no fill and no
line).

Hope this helps!

I will try that, sounds like a good idea. With the hidden areas, is the
presentation still on a linear path? Or does this set it up to be a chosen
path?

Thanks.

A chosen path. You click the hidden button you want to go to. Obviously
you would want to merely click to the next slide to move past this "set" of
slides when all the parts have been visited. Of course, you cna always type
the number of the slide you want to go to and press the ENTER key to head
any direction you want!
