the adjoining cell is just text. B6 = "Balance" C6 = -£20.00.
I can turn cell C6 to red but not B6 to red.
Contitional formating only affects cell C6. B6 just has text "Balance" can't do conditional formating on text.

All you have done is manual colour cells in. I need if cell A4 is red(text) then cell B4 is red (text).
I need conditional formatting to affect another cell. Is their anyone else here?
did you not see the Conditional Formatting on those cells?
