material resource BCWP

I have tasks that have both work and material resources
assigned to that task. When baselined I get correct
Actuals and BCWS but I only get BCWP for the work resource.
The BCWP will be correct for the resource but is not
correct for the task. What gives? Is there a problem of
having a work and material resource assigned to the same
task?
