Mulitiple domains, one identity

Can I be a member of 2 domains using the same identity? We are using Groove
2007 and do not have our own Groove servers. Thanks.

Hi,

No, you cannot. Each identity belongs to that domain. However you can have
more than one account on a computer – as long as there are no policies in
either domain that restrict this. The problem with doing this however is
that only one domain can be registering the device policies – usually the
second managed account to be added.

So you can have more than one managed account on a computer – but you really
would not want to.

Thanks for you help Gregg. If the policies are the same, would there be any
problem with having the two accounts on one computer? As an alternative, can
one identity belong to multiple groups? If so, does that give me the secure
separation that different domains give? Thanks again All.

Hi there,

No an identity can only belong to one group in one Groove domain.
