Spaces deleted between words, MSWord 2008 Mac to PC

J

Jacpod

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

My current software versions:

Version 12.1.3 (080930) updated to 12.1.4 (Latest installed update).

Since I still have spaces deleted between words as I transfer files from my 10/08 Macbook Pro (unibody) to my 09/08 IBM Lenovo, can I install 12.1.1 to remove the bug?

Thanks,
Jacpod

I un-installed, re-installed, and updated beginning with 12.1.1, then 12.1.2, 12.1.3 and finally 12.1.4

Problem persists.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Jacpod

Please clarify in more detail - The info you've supplied so far indicates
that the documents don't display the removal of spaces on your Mac. It
further suggests that once the document has displayed incorrectly on the PC
it still displays correctly on the Mac. I'm not sure what you expect
reinstalling your Mac version to do in repair of a problem on your PC.

What version of Word is the PC running? Has it been fully updated? Which
version of Windows is it running? Is the printer driver on that unit fully
up to date?

What fonts are you using in the doc? Are they standard Office 2008 fonts or
are you using others that may not work well in the Windows OS? Are you using
Themes in the doc?

There are a lot of unanswered questions beyond these, but I believe it's
possible you may have been looking in only the one direction. Perhaps some
of those answers will help narrow down the possibilities.
