Access 2007 and web services, connecting to data over the internet

Now that puzzles me. What's the difference between a SQL Server
userid and password and, for example, a Terminal Server userid and
password?

The Terminal Server port shouldn't be open to the Internet, either.

All your over-Internet connections should be across a VPN, with only
the VPN port open. That's much more secure, by a long shot, which is
the point of a VPN.

It also makes a whole hosts of things much easier.

yeah no shit you've never done this-- you're a fucking MDB wuss of
course you've never used SQL Server

if you knew SQL Server then you wouldn't be a scared little baby MDB
developer

it's not terribly insecure.

you can specify encryption on the advanced tab under file, connection

I mean get real, kids

ADP rocks

VPN isn't necessary to keep things secure; sorry buddy

maybe if you knew ANYTHING about grown up tools-- you wouldn't run
around with only a hammer (no wonder every database looks like a nail
to you-- u don't know SQL Server!)
