Approve Task Updates

The whole approval process of task within Project is inefficient and
problematic. For projects that do not require this level of
checking/approval it borders on being useless.

Once tasks are approved we have implemented a nightly process that checks
out the projects that have been saved, but not published and it
programatically publishes them and checks them back in.

We are looking for a way to basically do the same thing for automating the
approving of tasks, but have not been able to figure this out as of yet. MS
Support has not provided anything in the way of help on this issue. It does
NOT appear to be part of the PSI capabilitities either.

Thanks for the quick reply. An automatic approval such as this seems like
such a basic and common place process that it amazes me that it works so
poorly. It looks like I will also be developing a process for publishing
updated projects overnight. The downside of this is the status of projects
will only be a current as the day before; this isn’t a problem with something
like analytical services when you’re referencing a summary of large amounts
of data, but when you’re looking at individual projects it will take some
getting used to.

I'd really like to know how to create an automated publishing
process. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to
create such a process?
