Hello Acss,

Several times you said that you tried setting up a one-to-many relationship
but it ended up being a one to one. I think that that statement shows some
confusion which central to the challenges that you are having.

Symbology on the linking lines and structural adaptations aside, at the core
it it, "one to many" vs. "one to one" is defined by your data, not your
Access details. Think of it this way. You have an invoice which is
identified by the value in it's unique identifier (PK).....let's call that PK
entry "XYZ" Then, if you place "XYZ" into the FK spot in three records in
your invoice items table, you have (by you entry) recorded that those three
invoice items are related to invoice XYZ. Even if you have not even yet
created the "join" in Access.

Saying in effect that "we know where you live" is getting very close to a
borderline if it does not actually cross it.

Hi Bruce.

I think we might be misunderstanding what John actually meant. I think that
he was just pointing out the dangers of posting personal info and that
Steve's "got away with it" because of the nature and "membership" of this
forum - other forums may have some lurkers more inclined to act upon such
information. That's how I read it anyway, I didn't gleen anything
threatening ...

Thanks Keith, that was my intent. I would never encourage any action against
anyone ignoring the rules other than pointing out their transgressions. I
could have repeated what he had posted, but I just wanted to remind stevie
that he HAD posted personal information and that was not a good idea.

All stevie has to do is stop his soliciting and that would be it. I would
even consider seriously answering some of his questions. The trouble is
actually knowing when he has really stopped.

I applaud your vigilance where Steve's solicitations are concerned, but I
think there was room for misinterpretation in the instance I referenced, so
I pointed it out. That's all I was trying to do.
