Background Picture Size

We have seen BG images tile in certain builds of IE7 when the image is
called from a style sheet.

It still makes no sense. What is it you are saying?

Background images tile, unless you tell them not to. Are you saying that
even when you tell them not to, they still tile? I have not seen or heard
of this happening in any release version of IE7, and if it did, it would be
a disastrous thing.

Yes. We have seen this behavior when images are placed as a background
image in a page from an imported style sheet even when coded to not repeat.

Because you haven't seen it happen doesn't mean it's not happening
elsewhere...;-)

Below is a reply from one of my CSS contacts.

"yes... mark and i tested the problem and found that it only occurs with
a certain build of IE7. and i cant recall the build version. so to say
its a bug with the browser and theres nothing we can do to fix that
problem via CSS. however there is one fix... and that is to take the
header image (photo) and remove it from the CSS and to embed it right
into the html (<img src="blah.jpg">) make sense? this problem also
occurs on our main site (inner pages) and we haven't addressed it via
CSS."
