you're on an apache server, rename the images without spaces in file name,
re-import, re-insert, re-save, recalculate hyperlinks, re-Publish.

re re re re

:)

|I understand the mechanics of the image link. My problem is that frontpage
| has been linking and importing images correctly on it's own when I insert
| pictures from my documents. In the past it has imported the pictures to
the
| website folder on my hard drive when I inserted the image. Then when
| published to remote server frontpage transferred the image to the server
as
| part of "publishing changed pages." Only now does the program not bring
in
| the image and instead links to it's location in my documents. This is the
| problem. Even if I manually import the image to within the website
folder
| on my hard drive, when I publish the page the image is not being uploaded
| with the corresponding link to the remote location. It still points to my
| hard drive. Frontpage is supposed to perform this function-- It always
has
| for years?

He's talking about the space that is represented by "%20". It is best to
remove spaces from all folder and file names.

Thanks Steve for your help.

Well, I see you got it working.
I also see that you resorted to absolute links to do it.
<img border="0" src="http://mbhs1959.org/MBHS_Logo__yellow.gif"

While it is a "work around" you really should determine the cause of the original problem.

Also, you "really" need to fix the file name. current%20events.htm will cause broken
inks.

Steve, How do I determine the cause of the problem. All I know is that
Frontpage has always imported the image file into the web folder when I
"insert picture" into the page I am working on. Now the program is not doing
this all the time. How can I isolate the cause as I am only "working around"
the underlying problem. Thanks for your help.

Try always import the file into your current open FP web prior to inserting them on your page.

Check with your web host for the correct name of your home page, then rename your index.htm to what
is required, then re-publish the site.

Make sure that your home page file name is that, which is required by your web host. Contact your
web host for this info. Then if your page is not named as required, rename it from within FP, then
re-publish your site to the live/remote server.

Find out what they require as the default home page. Instead of index.htm
it might be index.html, default.htm, default.html, etc. You'll need to ask
your host. Then, change your local copy accordinginly.
