Are you trying to get me to see that VBA is code behind the objects and
controls triggered by events and so on? VB6 is creating a program from
scratch--where you don't need Access?

VBA equals Visual Basic for Applications (Access, Excel, Word). VB is
Visual Basic which while similar does not require Access, Word and/or Excel.
It is it's own language. SO basically what you said is correct.

Good News... I was bored and it's late so I actually did up a little sample
database of what you want. (Used some code from Allen Browne so thanks to
him also!) Sometime tomorrow I'm going to upload it to my website just in
case someone else wants that functionality. I just need to clean it up a
bit because I can't deal with sloppy.

I did do it in Access 2003 but it should convert and now you have something
to play with!
