you stipulate that subscribers to the site do this as a matter of course. If

No one can stipulate. It's a Microsoft server, not "ours". And besides, if
someone asks "who are you", how can anyone gauge the answer?

So there's really no control over who posts
messages here and no way to ban proven spammers.

Indeed, many simply filter out any Google or other web-based access. There is
no control there and web-based access is an open gateway for spam.

Does anybody know of any software that can take a rehearsed PowerPoint show
and convert it to a AVI file or other format that I can burn to a DVD?

As the guilty party, I've apologized for making that accusation and do soagain
here.  

Please understand that we have a lot of users who may not read all of the
messages here regularly, so they have no way of knowing that a seemingly helpful
reply to their question is really just spam from some drone flogging their wares
in, according to the rules here, an unacceptable fashion.

For that reason, we try to give them at least a warning by "labeling" thereply
as spam, when that's what it appears to be.  

As I mentioned in my earlier reply, I can count on one hand the honest, non-spam
recommendations we've seen here for this particular product.  

They're NOTORIOUS spammers.

Unfortunately, your reply looked very much like their typical shenanigans, so you
got caught in the crossfire.  Unfairly.

Do stick aound though; all of us know *exactly* what you mean about the
unfriendliness of so many newsgroups and forums.  You'll find that this place is
quite the opposite.
