Error 2711 on Installation of Beta 2 of Office

Success!

I realized it must've been related to shared components still left on the
machine. Even though I'd uninstalled Office 2003, I still had the Expression
Web Beta installed.

I uninstalled Expression, and Office 2007 Beta 2 installed fine. Now I'm
installing OneNote, which I assume will also go fine, then I'll install the
TR.

Great solution Aaron! I was receiving the same 2711 Error message when
I tried installing Office 2007 Beta 2. I removed Expression Web Beta,
then installed Office 2007 Beta 2 with no problem.

Have cleaned out the temp folder numerous times, tried uninstalling,
rebooting. The machine isn't necessarily clean. I was working fine on Pro
+ Visio B2TR. Uninstalled to try and get Project in beside them and now I
can only get Pro back in.

Have cleaned out the temp folder numerous times, tried uninstalling,
rebooting. The machine isn't necessarily clean. I was working fine on Pro
+ Visio B2TR. Uninstalled to try and get Project in beside them and now I
can only get Pro back in.

Check for other non-office apps that may use Office shared features --
especially the Expression creative suite. Try uninstalling those, then
reinstalling Office.
