Hi Bill:
It's not difficult. My question would be "Archived from what kind of
server?"
However, let's see if it's going to solve the problem, first...
Beg/borrow or steal an external drive from somewhere and install OS 10.6.3
and Office 2008 on it first. Clive and I bought 1TB Western Digital
cheapies from the local Officeworks for $90 each last week. He has OS 10
and a beta version of Mac Office installed on that, so he does not have to
endanger his production environment.
I recommend you do the same. When you are booted from the external drive,
the problem should go away. If it doesn't, it's not on your machine at all,
and we need to look further!
My semi-skilled reading of the samples you sent indicated that each time,
it's falling over in the Airport Base Station Utility, which makes no sense
at all: it shouldn't be calling it
All of your Entourage information is stored in ~/Documents/Microsoft User
Data/Office 2008 Identities/Main Identity
1) Quit Entourage
2) Re-start Entourage while holding down the Option key to start the
Database Utility.
3) Do a "Repair Database" to create a backup copy (you can simply backup,
but I prefer to run a Repair to fix any hidden gremlins).
4) Copy the Main Identity and the previous version of it off to the network
somewhere.
Once you are sure both files have written properly, restart the machine from
the Snow Leopard DVD.
Use Disk Utility to Erase the Drive (makes quite sure there are no "optional
extras" such as root kits or other malware on the partition).
Now install OS 10.6 and install the OS 10.6.3 v 1.1 Combo Update from
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1017
(The "update" is 720 MB, the "Combo update (complete replacement) is 785 MB
)
Then Drop Office 2008 onto the drive and update it all the way before you
run any applications.
Then fire up FontBook and Resolve the duplicates (there will be some...)
Finally, go to Disk Utility and Repair Permissions.
Hope this helps

For the record I am willing to enable the nuclear option. However, I will
need guidance as to how to reimport my Entourage mail archives onto my newly
reinstalled OS.
