EULA loop in web access

We have been running into this left and right after upgrading to sp2a,
especially with our remote users who aren't connected to the domain.

For our remote folks we had to add our intranet server as a trusted site in
Internet Explorer. After doing that everyone could download the components
without issue.

A handful of people on the local domain had problems with the components, so
for them we go into Internet Options > General > Settings > View Objects >
and delete the files that start with pjxxxxx. After removing you can
download the components again from scratch which usually helps.

Hope this information is helpful!

Thanks for the reply. Actually, we were doing this before upgrading to SP2a.
Then we upgraded hoping it would help. It made no difference. We still have
the problem. We have one machine that will not load the Active X Control and
we can't get past it.

We had also tried the View Objects thing before as well. Also to no avail. I
actually went in to View Files on the same page and removed all files from
the 'Project Server' server and I set "Check for newer versions of stored
pages:" to Automatically. It had been set to Never.

Still no luck.

The Project Server is a 'Trusted' site
Trusted Sites are set to Low (Everything is Enabled)
All Objects and Files from Options > General > Settings are deleted (Those
that refer to Project Server)
I am an Administrator on the computer
I am an Administrator on the Project Server
I am an Administrator on the network
Windows is updated
IE is updated.
Pop Up Blocker in IE is disabled.
No other Pop Up blockers are installed.

It just keeps looping between the EULA and this screen, "The controls for
Project Web Access could not be downloaded correctly. Please check your
security settings in Internet Explorer or contact your system administrator.
Return to the License Agreement page"

So, anyone with any further ideas?

Steve

Thanks Ray,

We don't have a WU control in the list so I removed everything else. Still
no luck.

So, now the set up is:

The Project Server is a 'Trusted' site
Trusted Sites are set to Low (Everything is Enabled)
All Objects and Files from IE>Tools>Internet Options> General > Settings are
deleted
IE>Tools>Internet Options - Deleted all cookies and Deleted all files
(Including Off Line)
I am an Administrator on the computer
I am an Administrator on the Project Server
I am an Administrator on the network
Windows is updated
IE is updated.
Pop Up Blocker in IE is disabled.
No other Pop Up blockers are installed.

It just keeps looping between the EULA and this screen, "The controls for
Project Web Access could not be downloaded correctly. Please check your
security settings in Internet Explorer or contact your system administrator.
Return to the License Agreement page"

Let's keep trying. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm in the same situation. But the difference is that it was working
before. It stopped working after I did some changes in my windows
services. I have deactivated some services to accelarate my computer. I
also ran Tunup Utilties 2006 to clean-up the registry. I would be
surprised if it was a registry problem du to the cleanup. I will check
the services I've changed and come back to you.
