Not sure I'm following you.
This is not a problem if you put the formula **outside** of the referenced
ranges. For example, this array formula** :
=AVERAGE(IF(C1:C10=6,IF(D110="Germany",F1:F10)))
** array formulas need to be entered using the key combination of
CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just ENTER). Hold down both the CTRL key and the SHIFT
key then hit ENTER.
As long as you don't enter that formula anywhere within C110, F1:F10 it
will do what you want.
