"oppressive humidity" - Jan, you have this inverted. What I think is when I
go to CO skiing my skin dries up and flakes away, I get nose bleeds and my
watch and wedding ring fall off. Besides the humidity does wonders to
smooth out wrinkles.
The skeeters aren't really a problem. You just smear a little swamp muck on
exposed flesh and they leave you alone. Their whine also provides a nice
"white noise" that aids in sleeping soundly. If you are feeling a little
poorly just leave off the muck for a few hours and you have free, at home
"bleeding" to remove the bad vapors. All in all a wonderful place. <g>

P.S. It's not the skeeters you have to watch out for it's the large, green,
scaly things with teeth you need to keep your eyes on.

No, the weather is great. The Gulf water temp is a refreshing 89 right
now.
Just ignore the fish kill caused by the red tide and everything is fine.

Red tide? Are you sure the fish didn't just cook?

The only thing worse than missing a grammatical error, it to have it down
correctly and mess it up on a proof reading "fix". Argh!

It should have read ....
So you only have to worry about being bit when you don't hear them.

Yep. They don't cook until the water gets hot. That should be in about
two
weeks. Then it's time to doff the wet suit. ;-)

'Scusi? Wet suits are for 50 degree water, not twice that!
