how can I close follow up reminder window?

My computer froze while I had a follow-up reminder window open in Outlook.
When I restarted the computer, the contact linked to the reminder had been
erased but the reminder window keeps coming back every time I open Outlook
and I can't seem to delete it. What must I do?

Close outlook and restart it using the /cleanreminders switch.
