Ok, we need to clear some entries from the registry.
Close FrontPage.
Click Start > Run and type: regedit
and then click OK.
In the window that opens, click the plus sign by HKEY_CURRENT_USER
and then keep clicking plus signs until you are here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage Explorer\Recent Publish
List
Click once on Recent Publish list.
Then in the right panel, right click on and then select delete for each entry listed except
the one named Default.
The entries to delete will be Web0, Web1 and so on.
Then do the same for the entries listed here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Webs\Opened
When done, close regedit and reopen FrontPage and it will not have any "history" of any webs
and you should be able to re-enter your web location.

I downloaded FP Cleaner and ran it, also went to My Network Places but did
not find any references to the site there. I wish I could say that it
worked, but the unwanted ftp address is still listed and I'm still getting
the errors.

Steve Easton said:Go here: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and download
FP Cleaner.
Run the functions that clear the Cache(.web) files and the FrontPage
Temporary files.
Then open My network places ( Sometimes called Network Neighborhood )
and delete any references to the website.
Let us know if it helps.
The next step is to delete some registry entries.

cowgirl said:Hi Tom,
Yes, I've tried both the FrontPage SE's option, typing in the URL
http://weidnerpainthorses.com (both with and without the www)
I've also tried using the ftp option using the ftp URL supplied by my web
host, PowWeb. That's where the URL was put in incorrectly and I cannot
seem
to change it. It will 'attempt' to find the site when I type it in but
always gives me the error "The folder 'weidnerpainthorses' does not exist
on
the remote web location.
Would you like a folder created at that location?" Sometimes the local web
files will show in the left window, but not always. I never gain access
to
the remote site.

:
With your local web open in FP, are you using File | Publish site and
putting in the http url?
