How to make Word the default HTML editor

Hi SeaMain,

Can't tell you if Firefox has a setting to influence
this, or if it may be related to the sequence of
installs. The Office apps (depending on version) will
normally write themselves in as options for Internet
Explorer in Tools=>Internet Options=>Programs.

Check the value in this registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Default HTML Editor
It has subkeys including a shell extension.

Have you tried running a repair reinstall of Office
with IE active?

===============
Both these boxes are already checked.

- Check if Office is the default editor for Web pages created in Office
- Check if Word is the default editor for all other Web pages

Anything else I can try to get Word included in Internet Options as HTML
editor? Would this have anything to do with Firefox being the default
browser? I changed Internet Explorer back to the default browser to see if
that might make a difference but it has not. >>
