How to use text effects in Outlook 2003

When I used text effects in an email message in Outlook, when the person gets
the message, the text effect is not visible.

Hi Ruth,

What kind of effects are you using? Colored fonts and backgrounds,
image insertion and image backgrounds are about it, as certain "effects"
from Word cannot be translated unless you save your creation as an image
or a PDF and send it as an attachment.

What effects? What email client does the recipient use? Do they get HTML
messages or plain text?
