Would you try installing a different printer driver (generic Windows printer
driver will do for this test) and set it as Windows default. Then test
again.

The files may be corrupt. I have no idea about word. But I think you
can try a popular Excel file recovery tool called Advanced Excel
Repair to repair your Excel file. It is a powerful tool to repair
corrupt or damaged Excel files.

Hi friends,
I have gone through your comments,its very nice.But my problem is
that when i open any office file like xecl,word etc i have got this
technical error

C:\DOCUME~1\muthu\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERcdd6.dir00\appcompat.txt


for this error you guys are told just remove the "Security Update for
Windows XP (KB908531)" from Add/Remove programs.I have opend and checked in
Add/Remove program with the tick of shou update But this point (Security
Update for Windows XP (KB908531)) is not available. I came to know one
thing is that for me error from this "WERcdd6.dir00" but you guys error form
"WER58a0.dir00".


So can you please teach what can i do for this error
