Images not showing

R

Ronx

That is the correct place to change it. The image will be stretched
to fit whatever dimensions you type in. If the image was a picture,
it would look really ugly - but a transparent .gif - who could tell?

There is nothing wrong with your .gif, except that it is oversized.

On your home page,
blank_website.gif:
Natural size (the size it actually is): 816 x 1056 (width x height)
Display size: 660 x 250
Filesize: 2490 bytes

This would be better using my tp.gif
Natural size: 1 x 1
Display size: 660 x 250
Filesize: 43 bytes

The display size is set in picture properties, as you described.
For a web page, the fewer bytes in an image, the better. This means a
faster download.

I get it now!!! Wow I don't know how you guys do your job without pulling
your hair out! Especially when you have people like me that just can't get it
sometimes :) Anyway could you check to make sure it is right now.

Thanks so much Ron I am sure I will be in touch in the future I have allot
to learn!

and guess what? you will use the SAME gif image with different size
attributes...one gif fits them all - so to speak :)

|I just thought of something I also have this same huge gif on this page:
| http://www.dominicursetta.com/flags.htm I will be changing it tomorrow.
| Thanks for the advice Ron

You could still make it smaller:
The present image is
Natural size: 22 x 13
Filesize: 833 bytes.

One problem you have on the page: the image is inserted twice.
Change
<div style="position: absolute; top: 1px; left: 59px; z-index: 1;
visibility: hidden" id="gif">
<table border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="0" width="400"
bordercolor="#C0C0C0" height="300" id="table10">
<tr>
<td>
<a href="javascript:;" onmouseover removed for clarity>
<img border="0" src="images/blank_website.gif" id="img1" width="660"
height="250"></a>
<img border="0" src="images/blank_website.gif" width="660"
height="250"></a></td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
to
<div style="position: absolute; top: 1px; left: 59px; z-index: 1;
visibility: hidden" id="gif">
<a href="javascript:;" onmouseover removed for clarity>
<img border="0" src="images/blank_website.gif" id="img1" width="660"
height="250"></a>
<div>
Notice I have also removed the table in this layer - it is not
required. Leave all the onmousover stuff in place :)
