is there a way to create DHTML flyout menus in FP2003 beta?

All companies involved have come out with new versions. Jim's reviews of
these product are all out of date and IMHO should be removed or he should
re-review and express his *opinion* once again.

Jon,

Your point "... and anyone with javascript disabled will see nothing."
applies to your FP3 example also. There is no way to create a dynamic
cascading menu system without JavaScript. If you believe your site will be
viewed by persons with JavaScript turned off then you'll need to redirect
them to static linked pages.

My mistake. In earlier versions of FP3 Beta, before the TR I believe, when
you set the visibility to hidden the layer was still visible in design view.
Thus, the design area was clutter by the overlaid layers. That seems to be
corrected.

I'm not sure how this would work in includes however especially if you move
the style attribute to an in-page style in the header. Includes, as you
know, do not include head section items.

Of course people have to make an informed choice and there is no "right or
wrong" choice here. Using a tool or doing it by hand offer different
advantages and disadvantages.

I believe we have exhusted this topic.

I understand. I was just wondering how the one I've recently bought stacked
up to the free ones. I suppose Ill look at the source code. I guess if I
can see the links then so will the spiders.

thanks,

what really interests me is the idea of creating one of these things "on the
fly" by categories and products in a database (like a shopping cart). Now
that'd be cool. Wish I knew enough to do that.
