Lost my email and tasks

Brian,

I've spent a bit of time going through it all and think I have it cracked
now! I searched for all*.pst files, added them all to my Outook through the
Control Panel and viewed their contents. I turned up an old list of contacts
which I had imagined had gone for ever, which was useful. I ended up with a
list of 10 'personal folders' in Outlook but got rid of the ones I didn't
need by reversing the process you described.

My 'tasks' list didn't turn up in any of the *.pst files though. Are they
this file type?

Many thanks for all your assistance!

All Outlook data is kept in PSTs. Is the issue that you don't see any Tasks
folders or that the folders are empty. If the former, make sure you are
using the Folder List view and not, say, the Mail view in the Navigation
Pane.
