At the moment I have run out of ideas. This is the first incidence ever of
margins resizing spontaneously when saving the a CD-R. My only thought at
the moment is that it has something to do with the temp files that Word has
to create in the target folder when it saves. Word needs to build and delete
temp files in the target folder, so you really should use a CD-RW - but I
know that many users trying to save direct to a CD-RW using packet writing
have problems with corruptions, but not exactly as you describe.

: Beth,
:

: And yes this problem does not occur when I save to HD.
