MS Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003 will not instal/reinsta

Thanks for your input. My appology for my last short reply to you...sorry...I
was pushed for time and didn't think then was away for a while. 'Yes', I did
try what you said but 'No', it didn't work. I got half way through Setup.exe
then the installation stopped with a message that an error had occurred
viz...'An error occurred during installation and Setup was unable to
complete.'...and asked me to send an error report to Microsoft which I did. I
have no idea of where to go from here. have you any other ideas?

My OS is XP Home Edition. I had Office 2003 Standard Trial version an
I had removed the same by mistake. And By system Restore option, th
Office 2003 standard trial version was restored and it was not workin
and also I am unable to either remove or uninstall or re-install th
same. When I try to remove I get a error message stating " It is no
proper windows patch file contact the Application Vendor and When I tr
to install I get a error message stating " Fatal Error durin
installation ". Now I have installed Office 2003 Pro. When ever I ope
either Excel , word or Outlook, I get a pop up window stating " Window
configuring Microsoft pro 2003 " . I would request Help on this, t
sort out this problem. Please. Advice me
