New problem with Firefox

CWWJ,

I looked at your evaluation page:
http://www.burdin-adr.com/index_files/Page637.htm again, and it looks fine
with this monitor set at 96 dpi in both IE6 and FF. And when I switch to 120
dpi it looks bad in FF.

I don't know what more to tell you. We have come full circle back to the
fact that if you produce your pages at 96 dpi, they are going to look
different at 120 dpi, and the other way around, especially in FF. No matter
how many times we discuss it, you can't change the way that the Publisher
html coding engine works...you can only design around it. Sorry.

So my suggestion remains the same...try changing out the "Neutrality,
Empathy, Managing the...etc" text box that is converted to an image in FF,
to see if that will make the page better. And make sure that the new
individual text boxes, with no fill, do not extend below the rounded corner
object that contains your logo and the suggestion box. That object is also
converted to an image in the FF code, and thus enlarged, and you do not want
it to push the "Neutrality, Empathy, Managing the...etc" text boxes down,
out of line with the buttons.

Thanks, David. Yeah, we do keep going in circles. I've talked to the owner
of my company, and we will probably try WebPlus 10. I'm going to do a little
investigating about cross-browser compatibility -- I do know WebPlus does
centering -- and if it checks out okay, what have I got to lose? $40. I
spend that much on a half a tank of gas. If you know anything more about
those aspects of WebPlus, I'd love to know. Thanks for your help, as always.

CWWJ,

There is a link to the Web Plus user forum on the Serif website. You might
post any question you have about the program there. Mike Koewler who helps
out here on occasion is a regular over there, and might be the one to answer
your questions.

It is my understanding that cross browser compatibility is not a problem
with Web Plus, centering is a built-in option, forms are easier, and you can
use the rounded corner text boxes you have in your Publisher web. Though it
is possible to import your Publisher html files into Web Plus, it probably
will not be a good idea, as you want to get away from all the Publisher
code. I would suggest rebuilding your site from scratch. As per the 96/120
dpi issue I don't know how WP code will deal with that, but I think that one
time when this subject came up before that Mike said that it wasn't a
problem. You might post that question on the WP forum, or you may just have
to test that out yourself. If you do switch and the 96/120 issue is
resolved, do us a favor and post back.

Good luck.
